Bearing Test Rig
In the design phase of journal bearings, accurately predicting the minimum oil film thickness and the maximum temperature on the bearing surface, along with verification to ensure reliability, is critically important.
In the bearing test rig, the Similarity Law is applied to analyze design characteristics, and the theoretical results derived from analysis programs are compared with experimental data to verify the validity of the design and the characteristics of the developed product.
In the verification process, power loss is evaluated based on the temperature, flow rate, and temperature differences of the bearing and lubricant. The load is precisely controlled via a controller, and the applied load is measured using a load cell, with the data stored on a computer.
The bearing metal temperature is measured and recorded in real time using high-precision temperature sensors installed in the bearing. The temperatures of the inlet and outlet oil are also measured and used to analyze the fluid lubrication condition and power loss.
