Environmental Management Framework

DYM has established and operates an environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001 to systematically manage environmental impacts that may occur throughout the manufacturing process. The company has established a system leading from 'Environmental Management Policy -> Environmental Management Guidelines -> Environmental Management Manual' to ensure that management's will for environmental protection is organically connected to execution in the field. Based on this system, we continuously improve environmental performance through the reduction of pollutant emissions, proper disposal of waste, energy saving, and expansion of recycling, while also promoting environmental conservation activities for coexistence with the local community alongside compliance with relevant laws.

Environmental Management System

Based on its ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) certification, DYM systematically manages environmental impacts and legal requirements throughout its entire business operations. By proactively identifying and assessing environmental risks, the company minimizes pollutant emissions and continuously improves environmental performance through the efficient use of resources and energy.
Furthermore, DYM complies with major environmental laws and regulations, including the Framework Act on Carbon Neutrality and Green Growth, the Framework Act on Resources Circulation, the Clean Air Conservation Act, and the Chemical Substances Control Act. We maintain our management system by periodically reviewing changes in laws and policies. Through the operation of this Environmental Management System, the company pursues tangible improvements—such as pollution prevention, regulatory compliance, energy conservation, and cost reduction—and continues its efforts to establish an eco-friendly production foundation.

Environmental Management Organization

DYM operates an enterprise-wide environmental management governance system consisting of the Board of Directors, the CEO, and the Management Support Team. The Board of Directors deliberates on and approves environmental management strategies and key policies, making major decisions by regularly reviewing implementation status and performance. As the chief executive responsible for environmental management, the CEO establishes company-wide environmental management policies based on strategies approved by the Board. The CEO also monitors the implementation status of each department and provides support to ensure that environmental management is internalized throughout the organization. The Management Support Team acts as the working-level control tower for environmental management. It carries out specific execution tasks, including responding to greenhouse gas issues and environmental regulations, operating the ISO 14001 system, managing environmental data, inspecting permits and facilities, and supporting the preparation of sustainability reports. Based on this clear division of roles and collaboration, DYM is realizing systematic environmental management where the Board’s leadership and management’s executive power successfully translate into practical implementation in the field.

Environmental Management Activities

DYM efficiently manages greenhouse gases generated from manufacturing processes and business sites, strengthening its capabilities to respond to climate change by optimizing energy usage. The company minimizes energy waste by regularly monitoring the consumption of key energy sources—such as electricity, fuel, and water—and by conducting facility inspections and replacing aging equipment.
Furthermore, we are establishing a company-wide culture of energy conservation by promoting employee-participatory saving activities, such as turning off lights when leaving work, conserving energy on heating and cooling devices, and cutting off standby power. Through these activities, DYM is simultaneously achieving improved energy efficiency and reduced greenhouse gas emissions. Looking ahead, we aim to advance into a low-carbon manufacturing company by introducing eco-friendly energy and reinforcing a sustainable energy management system.

Environmental Management Goals

DYM faithfully complies with relevant laws and regulations, including the Framework Act on Carbon Neutrality and Green Growth, the Framework Act on Resources Circulation, and the Clean Air Conservation Act. In alignment with the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) and the 2050 Carbon Neutrality roadmap, we are minimizing environmental impact across our entire manufacturing process.
The company continuously pursues process improvements to enhance energy efficiency and conserve resources. Our goal is to achieve tangible environmental results, including the reduction of greenhouse gases and pollutants, the expansion of waste recycling, and the prevention of environmental accidents. Furthermore, we proactively identify and manage key environmental risks to prevent pollution and establish a culture of eco-friendly production. Moving forward, DYM will strengthen its eco-friendly production activities and continue to advance its environmental management goals, centered on three core pillars: resource efficiency, pollution reduction, and the realization of carbon neutrality.
